Sonnenzimmer

Sonnenzimmer is a print + design shop on the Northside of Chicago run by artists Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi.  Their style really stands out to me, especially in the realm of current show posters.

Is anyone else seeing similarities between some of these posters and the design of Krautrock and acid jazz records?  More after the jump.

Two who share my friendly view of skeletons

Ericailcane is an Italian artist having his first American exhibition at the Italian Culture Institute in Chicago. He’s quite the character…illustrator, puppet maker, street artist. Until September 2.

It’s called “Muffins.” Muffins! Quite a light-hearted perspective, I’ll say.

Jeff Soto and Jeff Ribaudo designed the logo on the right for Monothon14 at Riverside Art Museum in CA, July 18, 19, 20. I believe this print will be part of the auction event. But this is just an excuse to tell you 2 more reasons to love Jeff Soto.

1. He has a tattoo cult following.

2. The name of his online store is potatostamp.com. And he also paints potato stamps.

Bon-JOUR.
