Shepard’s Birth Announcement

Ty Mattson, of Mattson Creative (same dude behind those sweet lost posters) clearly has a lot of gifts, but he and his wife have recently been given another. No better way to show your kid how much you love them, then to create a completely kick ass birth announcement. This amazing print press announcement is very well laid out and uses  some really fun illustrations and colors. I can honestly say I have never seen such a sick birth announcement. So taste it Hallmark and Shoebox. The bar has been set. Your move. Read the rest of this entry »

Letterpress Mattes (& a Contest Winner)

I’ve been really digging these custom letterpress mattes from Sycamore Street (super-cheap letterpress? Yes, please).  A nice twist on matting photos and artwork.

I also really like this snarky congratulatory card:

Which reminds me…today is the day to announce the winner of the Jason Munn poster.  So, *drumroll*…

The winner is, #27, Seth Clark!  Congratulations, Seth!  Hope you love your poster!

Bracket (No NCAA content)

Here at OK Great HQ, we’ve been talking a lot about business cards lately; we’ll be redesigning our own in the coming months so the ideas are really flowing…picture-1.jpgWhich led me to this super simple card with a twist from Felix Ng for Bracket.bracket.jpgIn Felix’s words: “Bracket is a publication that features everything-in-between – ideas, process and voices overlooked and under-appreciated.”picture-4.jpgThoughtful and appropriate but would you carry a card blank on the outside with a hidden message? You can check out the rest of Felix’s excellent work at Silnt, where he’s Art Director.
