Get routine, get inspired, and get yourself to Dana Tanamachi’s site to check out some amazing chalk drawn type. Even better? Check out the time lapse videos of her process in action.

While in NYC earlier this week, I heard about an exclusive club in Jersey (who doesn’t want to join a club in Jersey??) founded on the notion of destruction. Get together and destroy shit with the weapon of your choice. Sounds intriguing right? Well it’s not. It’s a members only club dedicated to super-rich people getting together to smash expensive stuff. I’m sure they think it’s some sort of liberating, existential exercise; but in this economy? It’s ridiculous.
In the meantime, check out this rad animation by Helios Labs for a different kind of exclusive club.

It’s not even borderline. It’s a full blown obsession.
I love the fluidity of the game. When it’s played at the highest level, it’s like a beautifully choreographed dance. Every pass, every movement off the ball, every juke looks premeditated. But of course it isn’t. It’s all bubbling up from a natural rhythm embraced by the players & the fans alike. And right now, Barcelona FC are dancing like no one else.
Richard Swarbrick doesn’t an amazing job at capturing this in this piece from a new series of animations highlighting soccer matches. The above is taken from the 5-0 spanking Barca gave Madrid earlier this year in La Liga. Be sure to check out Man United take on Barcelona in the champions league final on May 28th.

An inspiring video from Chris Harmon that illustrates just how dependent we truly are on oil. Chris does a great job telling his story visually while keeping it very informative . I really like the overall tone and colors used. Chris nailed the crude oil feel while still keeping it very clean looking.
Well, looks like I am biking to lunch today.

Korean-based Studio Shelter created a fun Lego-based stop-motion short which brings human personalities to the blocks of color. This short tells the story of a happy Lego world that is quickly overrun with chaos and slowly drained of it’s color.
Spoiler alert: Lego bricks humping. Yeah, you heard me.
