Ross Brugink is a Graphic Designer + Illustrator currently working in Minneapolis. He has some really awesome posters that leverage current trends while still “Bruggink’ing” them out to look original. The poster that first caught my eye was his “ArtCrank” poster. The mix of mechanical parts, symmetry, print press look and colors just kills it for me. Check out his full portfolio here.

YouWorkForThem took five selected fonts and dumped them into the water. The resulting posters and iPhone/iPad wallpapers are really awesome. Makes me wish this was an Apple app where you could tilt your phone/pad/pod and have the type drop’n'float. Someone needs to make this happen.

CitID is a website for people from around the world to uploaded graphic treatments of their cities. Check out this blurb from their website:
Our hope is that creatives from around the globe will make a logo or a visual interpretation of the city closest to their heart. The universal goal is that every city ultimately gets their own identity on CitID, and that both the city and it’s aesthetic contributor gets recognition through this library—a place where you come for visual inspiration and leave with more knowledge about the world we live in.
Pretty cool idea!

These sweet posters on a stick are from a talented designer named Allan Peters. This illustrated poster series is just so fun, clean, and smart. I am ashamed to say how many times I remember an event by what I ate. Now I wanna see a poster for this bad boy?

In celebration of the upcoming movie season [specifically, the release of Iron Man 2], Screen Rant has released a series of 30 awesome minimalist superhero posters. They even included some of the more unconventional superheroes, like Quail Man and Darkwing Duck. If you love superheroes like I do, you should check out the whole set, it’ll make your day!

Uh, yeah. I stumbled upon this portfolio via Flickr + unfortunately could not find any information about this cryptic artist that only goes by the name Adam The Velcro Suit. On second thought, maybe that’s not unfortunate. It’s kind of awesome. Adam’s portfolio is basically just a hefty serving of retro styled show posters with some cards + prints served on the side. Mmmm.

Phew. I was worried that I had tapped the reservoir of crazy European illustrators. And then this guy came along. Meet Konsta Ojala. He’s great.
