Congratulations to the 2009 Windhover crew! This year’s magazine was edited by Joe Wright and designed by Megan Jett, Shaade Oliveros-Tavares, & Helen Dear. Last night I went to the reception to get my copy and chatted with the designers, swapping horror stories and giving them some insight about life outside of design school. This year’s magazine features pull out vellum pages, metallic ink, crazy patterns and lots of bright colors. It looks awesome! If you don’t know, Windhover is NCSU’s annual literary & arts magazine. It is a collection of prose, poetry, essays, art, design, and a music compilation disc. If you want your own free copy, they will be available on NCSU’s campus in the Brooks library, Caldwell Lounge, and Talley Student Center for you to pick up.
If you want, you can also check out some images of Windhover 2007 and Windhover 2008.

It does look awesome — I hope we can hire some of these people before our competitors do!

I love the hybrid headings font — is that a standard font or was it custom-made?
