The first issue of ROMKA magazine just landed at my doorstep + it’s an amazing little piece of work. Lots of my favorite photographers crammed into one magazine.
This issue (and I think all issues to come) asks photographers to pick a favorite photograph or two + tell the story of the picture. It’s an interesting take on setting up a photography collection + the result is great. Most of the contributing photographers chose the cryptic, alluring route + it leaves the reader totally intrigued + quickly thumbing through the pages over + over.
From the final photo: In the beginning of March 2010, Maxwell came to live in my sitting room. At the end of the month I woke up one morning and he was gone. I have not heard from him since.
I’d totally recommend snagging a copy while they’re still available. You can pick yours up (for cheap) here.
100 pages, 14 x 21 cm, offset printing on recycled paper, edition of 1,000, 36 artists, 19 countries, so good.
