Do you guys remember Nike IDs? Keds just jumped on the bandwagon, and now on their website you can customize your shoes, and even upload your own images. And they’re only $60 a pop, which is kind of awesome. Thanks Keds!

Artist P. Williams uses his skill as an illustrator to create some pretty dope 3-D objects + installations. When you visit his site, be sure to check out the huge archive of sketchbook work!

Collider is a design collective supergroup featuring seven of Australia’s finest creatives. There are designers, illustrators, motion directors, and film makers all collaborating on the many unique projects they get their hands on. They are probably best known for their work on last year’s slightly creepy XBOX ‘Faces’ campaign, but they have loads more work to dig through.

My favorite piece in their portfolio was the environmental signage they did for one of Sydney’s prominent libraries. “The design work included four elements – the main entrance and the three floor directories. The directories, in sympathy to the materials they exist within, are designed to feel like large tilted switches or books roughly stacked.” Awesome stuff. More after the break.

Clever, enthusiastic design from Netherlands agency DC Works. I love a firm whose portfolio showcases a good balance between high-impact, colorful work and more subtle design.

Jordan has a pretty diverse portfolio; I really like the solitude of his darker works.

So, maybe you guys have noticed that I haven’t been posting very much lately. It’s because I decided to knit scarves for my family for Christmas, and it’s very time consuming. And of course I picked patterns that are probably too difficult for someone who is barely past knitting 101, so it’s been a bit frustrating as well. Anyways, I thought I’d share some of my knitting inspiration for my fellow grandmas in training out there. Check out some more awesome work from one of my knitting heroes, Tickled Pink Knits, under the jump.

I have a love affair with table linens. When I walk into an antique store, they’re the first thing I gravitate toward, and when Brendan and I got married we registered for about ten times more cloth napkins than necessary. The latest addition to my collection includes antique linens passed down to me from my grandparents, and I’m already looking forward to hosting some fancy dinner party for the sole purpose of putting those pretty things to use. Here are some more modern linens (well, one Vera I just had to throw in) that I’d love to have, all under $40.
[1] colander napkin set, $28 [2] linen tea towels, $28 each [3] banjo love placemats $28 [4] leaves tea towel, $19 [5] Defyra tea towel, $25 [6] acorn towel, $18 [7] tea towel and pot holder, $32 [8] you’ve come along way baby tea towel, $38 [9] vera napkins and placemats, $38

Did I ever tell you guys that I am OBSESSED WITH TRADITIONS??? Well, I am. Every year at Christmas time, there are certain things that I MUST do:
1.) Make Tadals (italian cookies that are made up mostly of yummy…um, lard.)
2.) Decorate a tree with big (apparently “trashy”) lights and garland and ornaments.
3.) Watch the same exact movies as I’ve watched for the last 28 years of my life.
See clips of my favorites after the jump!

Sophisticated identity work from Danish designer Mads Burcharth. I could look at this kind of typography work all day.
