Mattie & Den’s home was featured on mega-blog Apartment Therapy this morning, but I can only assume that none of you are super human enough to keep track of what’s on Apartment Therapy.

I’m pretty sure this New Mexican house would give me a panic attack! Check out Mattie & Den’s flickr page for hundreds more photos, or the original link on Apartment Therapy.

Ok, I’m going to start by saying this: I know a bit about music. I like some weird stuff that I believe accrues some serious obscure record store points. I know some story arcs of legendary trios with big egos. I know about some blues deaths and murders. I even get into vicious fights at parties over Mr. William Joel. However, one place where I wish I wasn’t lacking – Black Metal. Luckily, I found out that Poole Gallery in Berlin is exhibiting some amazing photographs of various Norwegian gentlemen involved in the black art.
The images were taken over a period of five years, by US photographer (and Metal fan) Peter Beste.

If you’re like me, only vaguely aware of this genre bubbling up from the world’s Mesa Boogies and leather pants – well, take a look at these dudes with long black hair and sour dispositions, strolling through deserted forests and educate yourself. FUCKING RIGHTEOUS.
Or you could always, derive your knowledge from the epic Metalocalypse. Based off of Glen Danzig. Again, FUCKING RIGHTEOUS.

Who wants to pick up dogshit with just a plain old plastic bag? That’s so pedestrian.

Well, lucky you! Andrea Gadesmann & Nina Doutzenberg, two designers from Switzerland have created Dog Poo bags for the tasteful & responsible dog owner. These are kind of cool in an awful way.

I hope everyone likes our redesign! I’ve been busy tinkering with the backend, so I feel like I haven’t posted in a while. At any rate you should check this guy out. Jordi Ferreiro makes deceptively simple but captivating art with paper. I like when a specific style is really explored and seen in a variety of contexts. Plenty more here.

You heard right, OK Great got a makeover. Which you probably already realized by now. If things are lookin’ funky, don’t fret. Just dump your cache and voila!
Don’t we look pretty?
This little redesign is the first step towards a deeper and more comprehensive site. In the coming days we’ll be adding a number of features including Guest Contributors, Interviews and even an OK Great hotline. What? A hotline? On a blog? Yup.
We hope all of the new changes will make reading OK Great a lot more fun and interactive for all of y’all.
Let us know what you think and stay tuned for more features!
I love, love, love the retro packaging for the General Mills cereal line. More at The Dieline.

Hemming & Willström is two young, Finnish designers who make stuff out of C-cassette tape, cotton yarn, and recycled fabrics. In addition to these cassette tape wallets, they also have two cassette tape pillows for sale.

Where have I been? I thought sugar packets only came in white, brown, blue, or pink. But then Twig & Thistle found Sugar Packet Chad on flickr and my mind was blown. How come everything is so well designed in Europe and in the U.S. we only get white, brown, blue, and pink?
