Mosadi Music is the band going to grace Flywheel’s PBR Obama fundraiser. I just want to add a little personal appreciation for them: they are awesome. Jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk, soul, guitar solos (!) they really represent all these things in such a cool way.

And now a delightful anecdote: I saw them play once at a shall-remain-nameless Disneyland neighborhood in North Carolina in the early evening. Apparently they were advertised as “jazz.” Between songs, a man with his wife passed the stage on their way storming out and the man angrily told Shirlette, “That’s not jazz!”

To which she so gracefully replied…

“Ladies and gentleman, jazz is a state of mind.”
